Extraterrestrial Abductions Day

Extraterrestrial Abductions Day is today. Keep one eye on the sky. And, be ready to duck, dodge, and to hide. UFO's may be everywhere, looking to abduct humans. If you are not careful, perhaps they will find you! Of course, there are more than a few people out there who are looking to be abducted by aliens, so they can travel to another planet.

Celebrate today by reading and watching science fiction stories about UFOs and Extraterrestrials. And, make sure to keep out of sight of extraterrestrials.

Tell a Fairy Tale Day

This is a day that Fairy Tales are made of (and for). It's Tell a Fairy Tale Day . Today is a great opportunity to read your kids. If the kids aren't around, its certainly okay to read them alone. We all know that everybody loves a good fairy tale.

To qualify as a fairy tale, a story does not have to begin with "Once upon a time.....". But, they usually do. It is a requirement that the story has a happy ending. There's nothing better than a good story that ends with "and they all lived happily ever after".

On Fairy Tale Day, cozy up under a blanket with the kids and read "the good book"....a fairy tale book. Libraries and schools will often mark this day with special fairy tale readings and story hours.

Zombie Preparedness Day

I can't believe I missed it!! April 3 was Zombie Preparedness Day. Someone did a real bad job of getting the word out about this. I cannot stress how important this is for all of us. I was recently quoted in our local paper about the importance of having a plan in case of a zombie infestation. It is just as important to have a zombie infestation plan as it is to have a fire escape or hurricane escape plan.
