Goddess of Fertility Day

Goddess of Fertility Day celebrates Aphrodite and other gods and goddesses of fertility. In ancient times, many cultures had multiple gods and goddesses. Each one represented various aspects of life. The ancient Greek goddess Aphrodite was by far the most well known goddess of fertility. People would pray and make offerings to Aphrodite when seeking to create a family.

If you are looking to procreate, today might be the perfect time. However, if you are looking to avoid the unexpected pitter-patter of little feet, one might suggest today is a day of abstinence.

Submarine Day

Enjoy Submarine Day by watching movies featuring them. Or, read a book about submarines. If you live near a naval museum, take a drive to see a submarine today, and if allowed, go aboard.

If you work at a deli, it's perfectly okay to celebrate Submarine Day with a hero submarine of your choice. If you own the deli, give us a deal and run a Submarine Day special.

Question: What is the world's most well known submarine? It's the Yellow Submarine, written and recorded by the Beatles.

Monsters vs. Aliens

This is one movie on my must see list this year. It looks like a lot of fun.

SCAD Sand Art Festival

One of the best things about living in the south on the coast is events like Savannah College of Art and Design's Sand Art Festival. It has everything you could possibly want in one place, art, the beach, and babes. It is happening again this weekend, and this will be the third one I've attended. To get ready I'll be posting images from the last two years to get ready.

WE CAN DO IT!!

I saw this a while back and thought it was a pretty cool Rosie Riveter update. I don't remeber where, sorry to whoever posted it originally.
